The monk, without a doubt, is the strongest generic charecter in the game. his PA is unmatched by any other character in the game. he has ranged attacks, can heal status ailments, can restore HP/MP, and revive dead characters...all without charging or using MP! however, there is a downside to this charecter, he can only equip clothes. nothing else (the females can equipe ribbons though). so sure he can attack for more damage then a knight or squire but he dosnt have much else. im down playing this great charecter just so you arnt disapointed. but hey, dont trust me, go out and try them for yourselves...you'll love ever second of it.
